COBIE SMULDERS IS IN THE AVENGERS!

OMG COBIE SMULDERS IS GOING TO BE IN THE AVENGERS!!!.........wow, that was all in caps, wasn't it?  Well I don't care.  Cobie Smulders of How I Met Your Mother fame will now be playing SHIELD agent Maria Hill.  This is wonderful news, because I'm madly in love with that actress and think she's freaking amazing.  She's got such a fun sense of humor and looks unbelievably gorgeous.  Maria Hill may not be as exciting as Hawkeye or the Hulk, but just look at this girl.

Adding the character of Maria Hill was kind of a no brainer for this movie.  SHIELD will play a huge role, and Maria Hill is arguably their top agent in recent years.  So if Nick Fury needs someone to help run the program, Maria Hill is just such an obvious candidate.  She also banged Tony Stark, so you know she has good taste.  But then again, who in the Marvel U hasn't?  In fact, Maria Hill is the team leader for the main Avengers team in the comics right now, although don't expect her to play more than a supporting role until SHIELD gets its own movie.

Yet again Marvel blows me away with perfect casting.  Joss Whedon knows what nerds want, and damn is he delivering.  Although if you don't want Cobie Smulders in the Avengers, just look at that picture again.  I didn't think the casting of Maria Hill could get me so excited, but clearly I've been mistaken.
